Things every contractor asks before signing on.
Honest answers up front, so you don't have to dig. If yours isn't here, email hello@hewstone.io and you'll get a real reply.
Will my customers hate talking to a machine?
Some people will always want a person, and the system puts those callers straight through to you. Most callers care more about getting an answer at 8pm than about who gave it — and the real alternative isn't a human, it's voicemail. The voice is the most natural-sounding available and shaped to your brand. Judge it yourself: our own line, (612) 453-1585, is the same system we'd build you.
What if it screws up?
For the first 30 days you see every message before it goes out to a customer. After that you can let the ones you trust send on their own. Mistakes get caught, the wording gets tuned, and you stay in control the whole time.
What CRMs do you support?
We connect Hewstone to your CRM during onboarding — JobNimbus, HubSpot, and Pipedrive plug in fast; AccuLynx and most others we wire up as part of setup. ServiceTitan and Acumatica are available for established clients through their partner setup.
Who am I actually talking to?
Thomas Cannaday, the founder. Hewstone is a small, independent shop built in Minnesota — no VC, no sales team, no account manager who hands you off after signing. The person who sells you the system is the person who builds it, and you get a direct line to him. That's the whole sales process.
What happens to my customer data?
It stays in your accounts — your CRM, your phone, your calendar. Hewstone never warehouses your customer data. If you leave, nothing goes with us. Your customer relationships are yours.
How long until I see results?
Lead response is built to fire the moment a lead comes in. Review requests start going out as soon as the system is live. The coach is designed to sharpen reps over 60-90 days as they adopt the feedback. We share monthly dashboards so you see the numbers as they move.
Do I need a tech person on my team?
No. We're the tech person. You stay focused on running the business — selling, scaling, scheduling, the things only you can do. We handle the setup, the connecting-up, the watching, and the fixing. That's what the monthly covers.
How do I know this'll actually work for my shop?
Start small. Pick the one system that's leaking the most revenue, then add more once it's earned its keep — websites run $1,000–$5,000, AI systems $1,000–$4,500, it's month to month, and you own everything we build. Cancel anytime.
Still deciding?
Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. Tell us where the leaks are and we'll tell you which systems would move the needle — and which wouldn't be worth your money yet.
