Capability 09 · Websites
Not a brochure. An operating system.
A full website rebuild with every Hewstone capability baked in from day one — lead capture, chat widget, review automation, content engine, local SEO. Built to convert, not just to look pretty.
One of the AI systems we build.
Why this matters
Most contractor websites are brochures: hero photo, list of services, contact form. They look fine, do nothing. The phone rings because of Google Ads or word-of-mouth, not because the website did any work. A modern operating-system website actively captures leads, qualifies them, books appointments, and feeds your local SEO with fresh content. Same domain, same brand — completely different ROI.
What ships with the website
Everything this capability ships with.
Modern, mobile-first design
Built on the same stack as hewstone.io. Refined typography, photography, conversion-tuned layouts. Performance: 90+ Core Web Vitals.
Service pages for every line you do
Dedicated page per service line (re-roof, repair, storm response, solar, HVAC, etc.) with SEO copy targeted at your service area.
Built to carry your Hewstone capabilities
The capabilities you choose — chat widget, lead response, review automation, content engine — are wired in as part of the build, not retrofitted later.
Google Business Profile + Search Console synced
Set up correctly from the start so Google sees your business consistently across every touchpoint.
Conversion-tuned forms
The right questions in the right order. Captures intent, qualifies the lead, and feeds your AI Lead Response system.
Maintainable code, no spaghetti
Built on a modern stack (Next.js + Vercel hosting) that you can hand to anyone if you ever leave. No WordPress plugin hell.
From a 7-year-old brochure to a lead engine — in 30 days
Acme Roofing's website is a 2018 WordPress build. Slow on mobile, no chat, no online booking, one contact form that goes to an inbox nobody checks. They sign with Hewstone for a website rebuild.
Discovery and content audit. We map their service lines, capture their brand voice, audit their existing SEO and inbound channels.
Design and page architecture. New homepage, dedicated pages for re-roof, repair, storm damage, solar, gutters. SEO copy for each.
Build and integrations. New site goes up in staging. Chat widget, lead response, review automation, content engine wired in. SEO redirects from every old URL.
Launch. Old site retires. New site ships. Google reindexes within 48 hours.
The new site is built to convert far better than the old brochure. Site loads in under a second. Owner's dashboard shows actual conversion data instead of "10 contact form submissions, 2 looked real."
Same business. Same brand. Different machinery underneath. The site finally earns its keep.
Plays nicely with what you already have
Keeps your domain, your branding, your existing tools. We don't make you switch off anything that's working.

Questions
What contractors ask about this capability.
What about my existing domain and email?
Domain stays the same — we just update DNS to point to the new site. Email is untouched unless you want us to migrate that too (we can move you to Google Workspace as a $150-per-inbox add-on).
Will my Google rankings drop?
Short-term wobble is normal during any site migration. We do it right: 301 redirects from every old URL to its new equivalent, no removed pages without redirects, Search Console submission within 24 hours of launch. Most clients see rankings recover and exceed the old site within 30-60 days.
Who maintains the site after launch?
We do, as part of the monthly retainer. Updates, security patches, new pages, design tweaks, performance monitoring. You don't touch code. If you ever leave, the site is yours — we hand off the code and you can maintain it elsewhere.
What about content I already have?
We audit it and bring forward what's useful (case studies, founder bio, evergreen pages) and rewrite or retire the rest. You're not starting from scratch.
How much does it cost?
Three builds, priced flat. Starter — $1,000 setup + $100/mo: our proven design system in your brand, 5-7 pages, hosting and small changes included. Custom — $3,000 setup + $200/mo: designed from scratch page by page, service-area pages for local search, AI chat widget included. Signature — $5,000 setup + $300/mo: cinematic film and motion built in (typical agencies charge $15-25K for this tier), priority same-day changes, quarterly content refresh. The setup fee buys how much is designed from scratch; the monthly buys what stays running every month.
Let's talk.
30 minutes to walk through your operation and tell you honestly which capabilities would move the needle — and which wouldn't. Half end with us saying "not yet."
